Version 4.71 is a minor release which includes the following changes:

• Improved load analysis speed.
• Added a per-segment "Interface Roughened" option. Individual beam segments with cast-in-place topping can now be specified as having or not having a roughened interface.
• For the Horizontal Shear Resistance by Moment Region, the top of the precast beam will now only be considered intentionally roughened if all beam segments are specified as intentionally roughened. Otherwise, the top of the precast beam will be considered as NOT intentionally roughened for the horizontal shear design by moment region.
• Added a warning to the "Torsion Check" graph and "Torsion Design Check" report at all stations where the Torsion Strength Required is greater than the Torsion Strength Provided. Previously, this was only shown on the "Shear Steel" graph and "Shear/Torsion Transverse Reinforcing Design Check" report as inadequate shear/torsion steel spacing.
• Clarified that the Total Shear Steel Required "(Av+2At)/s" in the "Shear/Torsion Transverse Reinforcing" report includes torsion steel per stem and should be shown as "(Av+2nAt)/s".
• Improved visibility of Problem Identification dialog toolbar button.
• Fixed font display issue with Greek characters.
• Fixed CIP Pour Definition dialog setting Haunch Lateral Offset value to Vertical Offset value when "to US Units/to Metric" button was clicked.
• Fixed column headers in CIP Pour Definition dialog not displaying proper units on unit change.
• A new file format has been created for the problem files to accommodate additional data used by the program. It still uses the *.con extension but cannot be read by versions of Concise Beam prior to version 4.71. Version 4.71 will read files created by Concise Beam version 2.x, 3.x, and all prior versions of Concise Beam 4.x. Files will now be saved in the new file format.

• Added batch printing feature to the File menu to allow all available design check graphs to be printed at once.

• Calculation Option D5 will now automatically alter the SLS load combination for deflection using default values. The user can alter these values to suit their project requirements.
• Option D5 will now control the inclusion of wind in the net total deflection and the span to deflection ratio.

• Added a calculation option, S14, to control the inclusion of a clamping force due to dead load for interface shear.
